Theoretical background

The calculation of temperature field and heat streams is founded on top of the general concept of base solutions and thermal coupling coefficients.

The theoretical foundation for these concepts for steady state (stationary) calculations can be found within the book „Wärmebrücken (Thermal heat Bridges)“ from W. Heindl, et al. [1] and for the dynamic (transient harmonic, periodic) calculation within writings of K. Kreč [2] .

Main feature of theoretical concepts used here has been directly adopted within the "Thermal Bridges Standard“ EN ISO 10211-1 [3], hence the stringent standard's conformance of the program AnTherm is easily provided.

It is noteworthy to reference the distinctive method of direct and exact determination of temperature factors fRsi which applies to multidimensional (three dimensional) cases also.

The numerical methods used in this program build on top of standard mathematics bibliography [4].

The special subjects and methods of optimal over-relaxation are further described in [5] .
